Name: Richard V. Gilbank
Born: February second, nineteen eighty-eight.
Background: I was born and raised just outside of Calgary, Alberta where I spent most of my time participating in a number of sports at highly-competetive levels. Shortly after my family moved to Ontario in 2002, I moved to downtown Toronto to live in residence at Upper Canada College.
After graduating from UCC with an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma and an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), I went on to the New Media program at Ryerson University. This program opened my eyes to the field of New media, and I've since been pursuing this passion wholeheartedly.
My work has focused on primarily human-centric applications of technology, such as tangible media, responsive environments, data visualization and interaction design. I'm always interested in learning new technologies, constructing new projects, and creating new experiences.
Feel free to contact me at any time, whether it's for asking a question or just saying 'hi'!
